Emotional Freedom Technique (Meridian Tapping)
EFT (Tapping) is a form of psychological acupressure, which can be used to treat physical and emotional ailments.
It is based on the same energy meridians that traditional acupuncture has used for over 5000 years, but without the invasiveness of needles.
Instead, simple tapping with the fingertips is used to input kinetic energy onto specific meridians on the head and chest.
This is done while you at first think about a specific problem that is bothering you ie: a traumatic event, addiction, pain, etc. and as you continue, you replace the problem with a positive affirmation..
This combination, of tapping the energy meridians while voicing your concern and then your positive affirmation, works to clear the emotional block (short-circuit) from your body's bio-energy system. Clearing these energy blocks restores the mind body balance, and promotes both physical and mental healing.
WHAT TO EXPECT IN AN EFT SESSION:
During an EFT session, you'll learn how to use Tapping so that you can use it anytime, anywhere. Together, we’ll work through several rounds of tapping, tailored to the issues you want to address.

THE SCIENCE BEHIND EFT
In recent years there has been a growing number of credible research done on the effects of EFT.
The results show, that EFT can produce real lasting breakthroughs and improvements, and may even eliminate certain conditions, that medication and years of psychotherapy have failed to improve.
HARVARD MEDICAL SCHOOL RESEARCH
Studies done at Harvard Medical School found, that the brain’s stress and fear response, which is controlled by an almond-shaped part of your brain called the amygdala, can be lessened by stimulating certain meridians by acupuncture, acupressure or Tapping.
DR DAWSON CHURCH STUDY ON CORTISOL LEVELS
Another remarkable study was done by Dr. Dawson Church:
His research team performed a randomized controlled trial, to study how a 1 hour Tapping session would impact the stress levels of 83 subjects.
This was done by measuring the subjects’ cortisol levels, which is a hormone the body secretes under stress.
The exciting findings were, that cortisol levels would decrease between 24-50% after 1 hour of Tapping, whereas there was no significant reduction in those who underwent 1 hour of traditional talk therapy.
